- Water meters are read at the end of every month - Billing dates are the first of every month for the previous month - Monthly minimum usages (3600 gallons) is $69.00/month (Sewer $19.00/month, Garbage 10.89/month) = $98.89 - If you use more that 3600 gallons during the month, there is an additional charge of $12.00 per 1000 gallons - Water meters are read every month - Water bills can be paid online, by telephone banking, or at the Town Office - Water meter deposits are required when setting up your Utility account: - $150.00 if you are a home owner - $250.00 if you are a renter - Water bills are due the 15th of every month.
Curbside Garbage & Recycle Pick up
Curbside waste & recycling started at the end of July, 2018. Recyclables and waste are to be picked up on alternating weeks. Greenland delivered the tan colored waste bins & blue recycle bins to your residence. For more information, please contact Greenland Waste at 306-763-3133 or the Town Office at 306.863.2282.
How to use your container: 1. Bag and place all regular and non- recyclable household garbage inside the cart. 2. Wheel our your cart with its lid closed. You must be able to close the lid without packing garbage in the cart too tightly; otherwise, the excess weight will make emptying of the cart more difficult. 3. Place the cart roadside by 7:00AM on collection day wheels facing towards the curb. Material beside or on top of the cart will not be picked up. 4. Return empty cart from the street and on to your property before the end of the day. 5. Carts are assigned to each civic address by serial number. Do not remove the cart from its assigned address. 6. Inform the Town Office or Greenland Waste Disposal of any damage, vandalism or theft of cart. It is important to note the serial number stamped on the cart placed at your residence by recording it in the brochure provided.
Items not allowed in the waste cart - Sod, dirt or concrete - Ashes of any description - Construction or demolition materials including boards, roofing materials, carpets, etc. - Automotive parts, oil filters, oil, etc. - Tree clippings greater than 6" in diameter and 18" in length or yard waste - Liquids of any kind - Tires - Animal or animal parts - Fuel, adhesives or combustibles - Batteries, Freon or hazardous waste - Recycle material
